Another day, another story on the future of Kim Min-Jae, who is very close to signing for Manchester United.
According to Il Mattino, the South Korean international is preparing to leave Napoli and has never been this close to moving to the Red Devils.
Transfer: Man Utd offer £129million to sign La Liga midfielder – Report
The Italian news source have mentioned that with the season now over, Kim will leave Italy to return to his homeland.
It is reported that in Korea, the 26-year-old defender will serve the military for a short period of time, however, he will not come back to Naples.
Instead, the former Fenerbahce center back will travel straight to England to start a new adventure in the Premier League.
Min-Jae’s deal has a clause of 60 million euros and as per reports, Manchester United are ready to activate it and have already offered lucrative terms to get the signing done.
Kim is required to complete the mandatory military service from June to July (Calcio Napoli 1926).
The World Cup 2022 star joined the Diego Maradona outfit to replace a legend like Kalidou Koulibaly and has recently been named the best defender in the Italian league (2022-23).
Man Utd only conceded 43 goals in the last Premier League campaign but their record away from home, especially against top teams was poor.
It must be remembered that just Liverpool and City netted a combined 13 goals against Ten Hag’s men (Anfield and Etihad)
Therefore, a defensive leader like Kim Min-Jae is surely needed to strengthen the Dutchman’s backline this summer.
