Manchester United have been massive spenders in this transfer market under the new INEOS ownership as they look to give Erik ten Hag a competitive team at his disposal to return the Red Devils to their glory days.
The Red Devils have signed Joshua Zirkzee, Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui so far. They have signed three defenders and one attacker with the midfield being the only position that they haven’t reinforced yet for the first team.

One player that they have been linked to for a long time is Manuel Ugarte of PSG. The Uruguayan has been linked with an Old Trafford switch since the start of the transfer window. The Ligue 1 giants wanted a fee of £59m for their prized asset when this saga started.
Negotiations have gone on for months now and it finally looks like Man Utd have reached an agreement. As per RMC Sport, PSG has lowered their demands but are not prepared to go below £50.8m to make the sale happen.
Man Utd are set to accept this demand but to close the deal as a loan with an obligation to pay the asking fee to buy next season. The 23-year-old has a huge ceiling in the game and if the Red Devils can sign him this summer, they would not mind paying that amount next year.
Ugarte is stylistically very close to Casemiro. The Brazilian midfielder has started this season off very well but Man Utd need to have succession planning and the Uruguayan might be the perfect candidate to replace the Real Madrid legend.
Man Utd will hope to wrap this deal up in the coming days. Let’s hope we can see Ugarte in a Red Devils jersey soon and that he can have a career to remember at Old Trafford.
