Manchester United’s desperate search for a midfielder continues and they are heavily linked with French international, Adrien Rabiot.
According to a report published by La Gazzetta Dello Sport today (news image provided below), Juventus are negotiating the departure of the Les Bleus midfielder with the Red Devils.
Transfer: £54.7million creative star willing to finally agree Man United move – Corriere dello Sport
The renowned Italian media outlet claim that initially, the Bianconeri wanted to hold on to the former PSG man as he is the only left-midfielder in the squad and a natural substitute for Paul Pogba.
However, Rabiot will be out of contract in less than a year and does not intend to sign an extension. Therefore, the Old Lady are willing to sell this summer instead of losing him for nothing in 2023.
Man Utd are expected to initiate discussions with agent (mother), Veronique, to agree personal terms for the 27-year-old star.
GdS have mentioned that the six-time Ligue 1 winner would like to join a Champions League side but he is prepared to sign for Manchester United if they can meet the salary he is earning in Turin.
It is reported that Rabiot earns 7 million euros a year (£113,800 a week) with Juve and he is willing to agree the same deal to join Ten Hag’s team.
The 29-capped Frenchman has got ample experience under his belt but is he good enough to solve the midfield conundrum at Old Trafford? Only time will tell.
