Manchester United allowed Paul Pogba to move to Juventus on a free transfer this summer and now, they want to lure French midfielder, Adrien Rabiot, from the Old Lady.

Erik ten Hag has not been able to sign his priority midfield target, Frenkie de Jong, so, the Les Bleus star could be the one to reinforce the department.

Transfer: £54.7million creative star willing to finally agree Man United move – Corriere dello Sport

According to a report published by La Gazzetta Dello Sport today (news image provided below), the Italian giants have estimated a fee of 20 million euros and the Red Devils do not object.

As far as the personal terms are concerned, the renowned news source have mentioned that Rabiot is willing to agree a three-year contract worth £25.4million (30 million euros) to join Man United.

The former PSG man would have preferred to move to a Champions League club, however, yesterday, GdS confirmed that the player is prepared to sign for the Old Trafford outfit if his economic demands are met.

The Frenchman currently earns 7 million euros a season and has now demanded a salary of 10 million euros a season.

Earlier in the day, we covered a story via (Corriere dello Sport) claiming that United’s talks with his agent, Veronique, have been positive and they have taken important steps to agree personal terms.

If Rabiot was better than Pogba, Man Utd would have splashed the cash to sign him in 2016.

On the other hand, if the ex Ligue 1 man was better than De Jong then Ten Hag would have preferred him ahead of the Dutchman.

After losing the first game of the season at home, it seems clear that we are in a panic-buying mode and Adrien Rabiot will most likely be a stop-gap signing. What do you think?
