Rangnick has made contact to sign £130,000 a week star for Man Utd – Report

Ralf Rangnick - German manager

Manchester United need a striker who will be able to score at least 20 plus league goals if they are to bring the Premier League trophy back to Old Trafford.

Retired Dutch star, Robin van Persie, was the last man to score 20+ goals in the PL for the Red Devils and in that campaign (2012-13) under Ferguson, we won the title.

Transfer: Man Utd willing to make strong offer to sign £60million star – Report

At the moment, we do have proven quality goalscorers like Cavani and Ronaldo but the duo are veterans and definitely past their prime. So, the Old Trafford outfit must bring in a center forward who will be here for the long term.

The name of Erling Haaland has been linked with the club for a long time and the latest reports (Manchester Evening News) suggest that Ralf Rangnick has made contact with the striker’s father and is pressing to hire his services for Man Utd.

The Norwegian international, who was the top scorer in the UEFA Champions League last season, is, without a doubt, one of the best strikers in the game.

He netted 29 goals in 27 games for RB Salzburg and top teams have been after him ever since. The 21-year-old left the Austrian side to sign a deal worth £130,000 a week (The Mail) with Borussia Dortmund last year and he has been on absolute fire in Germany.

Despite injury setbacks, Haaland has netted 19 goals in just 14 starts for BvB this season and overall, he has scored 76 goals in just 75 appearances for the Bundesliga side.

The level of competition is extremely high but despite that, MEN claim that Rangnick is pushing to win the race. Will he be able to lure Erling Haaland? We shall see.
