According to The S*n, Real Madrid are planning an approach for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba in the summer, with the French international rumoured to be seeking an exit from Old Trafford.
Pogba re-joined from Juventus in 2016, four years after he initially left the Red Devils, and has made a total of 81 appearances in his two stints at the club. The 24-year-old, who’s made 49 caps for France, has struggled for form in Manchester but remains a key player.
He’s been substituted in two of his last three appearances, while starting the other on the bench. And with reports suggesting Pogba is considering his future at the club and regretting the return to United, Real Madrid could capitalise in the coming months.
The Sun say Real are lining up a £120m deal to sign Pogba, who Guillem Balague said wanted a move to Spain before he joined United. The move to his former club only came about as they were the only club who could afford him at the time of his Juventus departure.
There’s a real fear Pogba could leave if Real can afford him, although the £200k-per-week star asking price is likely to be in excess of the £90m United spent to sign him 18 months ago.
