
If reports in the media are anything to go by then Manchester United have agreed their second signing of the summer (after Daniel James).
According to an exclusive report covered by The Sun, the Red Devils are signing Mateo Mejia from Spanish club Real Zaragoza.
The British source have mentioned that the Old Trafford club’s transfer team beat off competition from England and Spain to lure the 16-year-old Spaniard.

The teenage starlet is basically unknown and The Sun have not provided any details about Meija’s playing position and qualities. Moreover, they have not named the club’s who were competing to get his signing done.
So, we researched and found out a story covered by Heraldo.es. As per their report, the young Spaniard is a center forward, who is very fast, strong and has an eye for goal.
As far as the interested clubs are concerned, the Spanish news source claim that at first, La Liga teams like Atletico Madrid and Valencia were looking to lure him. Afterwards, the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United entered the race as well. In the end, the striker decided to move to Old Trafford.
Both The Sun and Heraldo.es have claimed that the transfer has been agreed for a fee of £600,000.
Let’s see how well Meija does for Manchester United’s youth teams. Will he be able to earn his first team debut in the next campaign under Solskjaer? Only time will tell.
