Few days back, we covered a report via (CalcioNapoli24) claiming that Manchester United have made contact to sign £54million-rated Victor Osimhen from Lille, who has recently hired a new agent.
More recently, Tutto Sport (via Sport Witness) have shed light on the ongoing scenario and stated that the new representative is waiting for the Premier League to end this weekend in order to offer his client to clubs like Liverpool and Man United, who are looking to sign the Nigerian striker.
Transfer: Solskjaer seriously wants to sign £40.5million player for Man United – Face competition
The renowned Italian source have revealed that Napoli have offered a figure between 60 and 80 million euros and are confident that the English sides would not match the fee to lure the 21-year-old from Lille.
However, the contract agreement could be an issue for the Serie A club. Tutto Sport claim that both Man United and Liverpool can offer the player a much more lucrative deal than the Naples based side to get his signing done.
Osimhen rose to fame in 2015 in the FIFA U-17 World Cup. In that tournament, he directly contributed in 12 goals (10 goals and 2 assists) in just 7 games to help his nation lift the trophy.
For the senior national side, so far, the youngster has started 5 games and directly contributed in 6 goals (4 goals and 2 assists).
So, the Ligue 1 striker has got a quality eye for goal and he could be the one to finally replace Romelu Lukaku at Old Trafford.
For now, Martial is doing well in the No.9 role but the Frenchman is naturally a winger. On the other hand, veteran Odion Ighalo is just a short term fix.
We shall see how the transfer saga unfolds in the coming days.
