Solskjaer Wan-Bissaka MUFC

Manchester United ripped Southampton apart on Tuesday night by shipping 9 goals against them. Wan-Bissaka initiated the rout by scoring first vs the Saints, only his second goal for the club.

If reports in the media are anything to go by then Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to sign a cover for the right back position in order to get the best our of the former Crystal Palace star.

Transfer: Man Utd ready to move to secure priority signing of £71million star in summer

According to ESPN, Man Utd consider move to sign Max Aarons from Norwich City, who are currently on top of the Championship table.

The report states that the Red Devils opted to sign Alex Telles in the summer to provide Luke Shaw serious competition and that has largely improved the performances of the former Saints defender.

Similarly, Ole wants more in the attack from Wan-Bissaka and at the moment, there is no one there to push him.

Defensively, the 23-year-old right back is one of the best in the country but going forward, he has not been effective enough. So far, in 70 odd games for the Old Trafford outfit, he has only provided 6 assists.

In the title winning campaign last term, both Robertson and Alexander-Arnold provided more than 10 assists each for Liverpool. That kind of productivity is needed from fullbacks if Man Utd are to lift the PL trophy.

21-year-old Aarons has already played over 100 games for the Canaries and this term, so far, he has directly contributed in 4 goals and has helped his team keep 9 clean sheets in the Championship.

His current contract with the Carrow Road outfit will expire in 2024 and as per reports, his market value is at around (The Sun) £20million. In your view, should Man Utd splash the cash to sign Max Aarons in the summer transfer window?
