Report – Man Utd have already moved for £34million+ player – Face competition

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Man Utd boss

Manchester United were linked with Nikola Milenkovic earlier in the year and his name is once again in the lime light.

Back in January, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was looking to sign the defender (The Sun) but he eventually stayed with Serie A club Fiorentina.

Yesterday, La Repubblica revealed that the the likes of Man United, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona have eyes on hiring the services of the Serbian international, who is valued at over 40 million euros (£34million).

Transfer: Man Utd have held talks to agree deal for £190,000-a-week winger before summer window

The Italian outlet have claimed that Man Utd and Atletico Madrid, who are always on the hunt for quality players, have already moved for the 22-year-old central defender. However, the Italian club do not want to lose their star player, who has already netted 3 league goals this term.

In the summer transfer window, the Red Devils were linked with numerous quality center backs and in the end, they splashed the cash to sign Harry Maguire from Leicester City.

The England international has formed a decent central defensive partnership with Lindelof and improved United’s back-line. Not to forget, Solskjaer also splashed a decent amount to sign English right back Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace.

After 12 PL fixtures so far, United have conceded fewer goals than Man City and Chelsea, who are currently in the top four.

Unfortunately, our attack has been highly inconsistent and that is why, we are struggling in 7th position at the moment and need an uphill task to qualify for the next season’s Champions League.

United do have the likes of Tuanzebe, Jones and Rojo in their central defense, therefore, they really do not need to sign another CB and should prioritize improving their offense in the winter transfer window.
