Report – Man Utd have made a huge proposal to sign £88million playmaker – Face competition

Coutinho Liverpool

Liverpool sold Coutinho to Barcelona in the January transfer window of 2018. Since then, the Brazilian international has so far won two La Liga titles with the Catalan giants but individually, he has failed to impress and now, he is linked with a move away from the Nou Camp.

Today, Mundo Deportivo have covered two posts. In the first one, they reported that the Samba star could be sold in the summer transfer window and he is valued at 100 million euros (£88million).

In the second article, the renowned Spanish source claimed that Manchester United have made a huge proposal to sign the former Inter Milan playmaker.

Transfer: Man Utd want £53million player, he might be on his way to England

However, the Red Devils face competition from Chelsea, who have also made a big offer to lure the South American. Furthermore, it is mentioned that even PSG could opt to move for him (Mundo Deportivo).

In his last half season with Liverpool, he managed to score 5 goals in as many Champions League appearances under the management of Jurgen Klopp. Moreover, he directly contributed in 13 goals in 14 Premier League games.

On the other hand, in his first full season with Barcelona, he has only managed to score 5 goals in 34 league appearances and found the net 3 times in 12 CL outings.

At Anfield, Coutinho was absolutely loved by the Kop but at the Nou Camp, the supporters seem to hate him. He was booed by the Barca fans in both the CL games against Liverpool and it will not come as any surprise to see him leave this summer.

The Brazilian international has got world class talent, he has proved his worth in the Premier League and has what it takes to improve our current attacking department at Old Trafford.

The issue is that we cannot offer him Champions League football as far as the next season is concerned. More importantly, he would tarnish his reputation at Anfield forever if he opts to join us. So, the move might not happen.

Comment – Would you like the club to lure Coutinho?

  1. No,I don’t want coutinhio what we need to happen is changes at the top the direction of the club is all wrong ,get young players in and get the deals DONE.this transfer window is going to be the same as the last few, woodward trying for the mega deal and ending up with nothing and the manager hung out to dry!!!

  2. It looks like Edward is out to bring the stock prices of Man Utd down, no wonder he is not able to appreciate technics of football, natural gift of football and intelligence. That is obviously the reason not to invest in players who the manager wants to buy, rather being influenced by various other factors. How on earth can fans be happy, from the era of David Moyes, we have been going down the graph. Edward must be sacked or Edward should collaborate with the manager in building the team also not just endorsements.

  3. the best alternative is for man u is sign Daniel James and Coutinho first, alongside with a formidable defender, another winger, and a striker e.g griezman
