United’s skipper, Antonio Valencia, was mostly out of the team in the last campaign and his contract will expire at the end of this month. In such a scenario, Ashley Young mainly started in the right back role.

The former Aston Villa star will turn 34 next month. On the other hand, young Diogo Dalot only started 12 PL games for the club last season.

Therefore, Solskjaer needs a new first choice right back, who could serve the club in the long run.

Wan-Bissaka had an impressive campaign last term under the management of Roy Hodgson and he would be a top signing for Man United.

It must be remembered that the Eagles value their prized asset at £60million (The Mail).
