However, the offers for the duo were rejected by the German giants.
Now, as per the latest reports going on in the media, Man Utd are set to raise the double offer to finally lure the Bundesliga duo.
According to The Independent, new Man Utd bids will imminently arrive to hire De Ligt and Mazraoui from the Bavarians.
The Moroccan international was close to moving to West Ham United but he is not interested in joining the Hammers and wants to reunite with Erik ten Hag.
Mazraoui is expected to replace Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the right back role as the England international is close to joining West Ham.
De Ligt also wishes to play for the manager, who handed him the captain’s armband at Ajax when he was just a teenager.
With Leny Yoro out injured, the arrival of the Dutch center half would give the Man Utd defense a timely boost should they secure his signing in the coming days.
Ten Hag’s men were beaten by Arsenal and Liverpool in the pre-season and are not in the best condition to beat Man City in the upcoming Community Shield contest.
In your view, should Man Utd meet the combined valuation of £55million to sign Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui?
