Diogo Jota and Ronaldo for Portugal vs Luxembourg

Manchester United need to improve their offense this summer and they are linked with numerous top quality attackers. Apart from Jadon Sancho, the name of superstar playmaker, Cristiano Ronaldo, is in the focus as well.

The Portuguese international might end up leaving Juventus in the next transfer window and one of the options for him is to return to the Red Devils.

Transfer: Man United closer to £59.8million star – Report

According to today’s version of Corriere dello Sport (press image provided below), Ronaldo has already said that he will decide whatever is best for him. His agent, Jorge Mendes will arrive in Italy to sort the future.

The famous Italian source have reported that the 36-year-old star will look at different proposals on the table and then make his decision. In such a scenario, Mendes has been in touch with several clubs.

As far as the Old Trafford outfit are concerned, CdS have mentioned that Man Utd are ready to agree a deal worth 20 million euros a season i.e. £330,000-a-week with the former Real Madrid man but they will not offer more.

It is stated that the 20-time English champions are not too enthusiastic about bringing the veteran back to the club after 11 years and are more focused on hiring the services of Jadon Sancho from German Bundesliga side, Borussia Dortmund.

The 5-time Ballon D’or winner was named the Serie A Attacker of the Season after he netted 29 goals in 31 starts in the competition last term. On the other hand, so far, he has already found the net three times in two Euro 2020 fixtures for Portugal.

In your view, should Man Utd sign Jadon Sancho or Cristiano Ronaldo to strengthen the attack for next season?

  1. to decide between Ronaldo and Sancho you have to decide if your plans are long term or for now. Sancho offers at lot of years while Ronaldo isn’t going to play forever. But neither will bring us a title unless we sort out the CDM position and CB. Good sides are built on solid foundations and United’s are far from solid. We conceded far too many goals to average opposition last season, often left chasing the result. This is not the way of Champions.

  2. Manchester United has to stay focussed and bring only new and impressive talent. Cristiano Ronaldo has already given stellar service when he played for them nearly 15 years ago. He has still abundant drive and enthusiasm. But Manchester United to bring in only younger and emerging talent, otherwise their budding stars will have little opportunity to develop and blossom into stars of the future. That is also the reason why they have not won titles and cups, save for the Charity Shield and Europa Cup in the 8 years since SIR ALEX FERGUSON has retired. COUPLED with the appointment of managers from David Moyes to Jose Mourinho who were not suited to win trophies or titles during their respective stewardship’s.
