Report – Ten Hag faces sack at Manchester United

Erik ten Hag - Manchester United manager

Erik ten Hag is a very lucky man. The fact that he still has the Manchester United job three years after becoming the club’s manager is frankly surprising, especially after the way the team have started this current season.

The Dutch coach’s future looked in limbo ahead of the new season but the Red Devils chose to trust in him.

Not only did they trust in him but they also spent massive money to sign five players that the coach wanted in his team – Joshua Zirkzee, Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, Noussair Mazraoui and Manuel Ugarte.

However, it looks like Manchester United have taken a step back. In six Premier League games, the team has suffered three losses, won only two games and managed one draw.

Their goal difference is in the negative and they sit 12th in the Premier League table.

Last night, Tottenham and Ange Postecoglou outclassed Manchester United. The London club were the only team in the contest when it was 11 vs 11 and clearly had no chance after Bruno Fernandes’ sending-off.

As per Football Insider, Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is facing the sack if the results do not change for the better.

The board want to back their manager but he is running on a short leash and the pressure is immense.

The Dutch coach has to turn things around and impressively. Whether he can do it is a difficult question to answer considering his track record at the club but in the past, he has found a way to switch the narrative when needed the most.

It’s the last chance salon for Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford but we have been here before. Let’s wait and see how the Dutch coach goes about changing the narrative.
