If reports in the media are anything to go by then Manchester United could end up signing a talented Dutch youngster. The player in discussion is Ajax starlet Dillon Hoogewerf.

According to Voetbal International, the 16-year-old boy is leaving the Eredivisie champions and he will probably agree a move to Man Utd.

Head of Ajax’s youth academy, Saïd Ouaali, has claimed that he tried everything possible to keep Hoogewerf at the club but in the end, the youngster has made his decision to leave (VI).

Transfer: Man United ready to move in for £60million star

The teenage starlet is a versatile talent, who can be deployed in multiple attacking positions.

Naturally, Hoogewerf is a center forward but in the last campaign, Ajax mainly utilized him in the wide attacking positions.

Over the years, Ajax’s academy has produced some of the world’s best players and currently, they have a world class 19-year-old in the form of De Ligt as the club captain. So, it will not be shocking to see Hoogewerf excel as well.

In all competitions, the starlet started a combined 20 games for the Dutch club’s U-17 and U-19 teams, and directly contributed in 16 goals (10 goals and 6 assists).

The above mentioned stats are impressive and I think that United should secure the signing of Dillon Hoogewerf, who could become world class in future.
