Star prepared to agree £330,000-a-week deal to sign for Manchester United – Report

Diogo Jota and Ronaldo for Portugal vs Luxembourg

Cristiano Ronaldo became a superstar at Manchester United before leaving for Real Madrid in the summer transfer window of 2009.

Ever since his departure, the Old Trafford faithful have been hoping that one day, the Portuguese superstar would return to the club. The Selecao star has been linked with us several times and once again he is in the lime light.

Transfer: Man United clear to agree signing of £61million star – Report

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport (via Sport Witness), Ronaldo is open to re-signing for Man Utd in the summer transfer window.

The famous Italian source have claimed that currently, the Portugal captain earns a salary worth 31 million euros per season and he is willing to take a pay cut in order to return to the Red Devils.

GdS report that the Juventus star is prepared to agree a deal that will make him at least earn 20 million euros a year i.e. £330,000-a-week to sign for Man Utd.

Even at the age of 36, Ronaldo is performing at the highest level. In the current campaign, so far, he has netted 32 goals and provided 4 assists in 38 appearances for The Old Lady. He will lead Portugal in the European Championships in the summer hoping to retain the title.

The 173-capped international is still good enough to improve the attack at Old Trafford but should Solskajer move to get his signing done. He is not getting any younger and Man Utd need to improve their attack by luring a quality player, who would serve the club in the long run.

Keeping in view that Cristiano will be out of contract in the summer of 2022, his market price should not be extremely high. Have your say – Should Man Utd agree a deal to bring him back?

  1. It makes HUGE sense if he will take a wage cut- or have a large part in appearance, performance bonuses…IF Cavani leaves we need an out and out/aerial threat number 9 who can hold up and ideally someone with a winning mentality like cavani who would be a positive influence on squad and ESPECIALLy young attackers. IDC if its a pr spin from Glazers if Cavani goes it would b BEYONF perfect and they would gain SO much financially from shirt sales, sponsor ship etc- would prob even gain us supporters. We KNOWn hes one of the best trainers in the game. If Cavani goes thats like 10 million pound a year off the wage bill, if he really is willing to take a wage cut thanks to Covid- even if we paid him 500k a week then it wouldnt mess ur structure uo that much cos WHAT player can come in and say they desrve same wages as CR7 plus it wouldnt be such a long contract…and IMAGINE Him coming off the bench, IMAGINE him advising greenwood rashford etc, IMAGINE the effects on squad if he is training as or harder than anyone…i CANT BELIEVE how much sense it makes!!

  2. If cavani goes that is…AND cant think of many better singings that would make Pogba up for singing a contract extension at least for 3 years meaning we could at least hope to get good value for him…n would mak EVERY PLAER in the world whos considering moving want to play for us to play with CR7 before he leaves europe

  3. My opinion is no, his just going to bring confusion in the team too much pride in him will affect others, lets just concentrate on building the team we have with young talent that wants to make a mark in the careers.

  4. That will be helpful because, when you have CR7 you have everything in football field, so we will be very happy to see him there again.

  5. He may be signed but should take a pay cut. He should be paid not more that what Bruno Fernandes is paid 🤔
