Manchester United have been linked with Sporting CP star Bruno Fernandes for quite some time and now reports suggest that the Red Devils have reached an agreement to lure him from the Primeira Liga club.

According to Pietro Balzano Prota, who is the director of Radio Rossonera and a journalist for renowned Italian outlet Sport Mediaset, Man Utd have reached an agreement with the Portuguese side to sign Fernandes.

Prota claimed that several clubs have shown interest in luring the 24-year-old star but for now, the Old Trafford club are very close to signing him.

Transfer: Man Utd have made huge offer to sign £60million star

United only netted 65 goals in the last Premier League campaign and they clearly need to sign someone, who can regularly score and create goals for them.

Having observed Fernandes on more than a few occasions, I can confidently say that he would be a top signing for Manchester United.

The Portuguese international likes to move into scoring positions and he is a brilliant passer of the ball as well.

One thing that I absolutely love about Fernandes is that he has got a rocket of a right foot and he likes to shoot from long range.

The Seleccao star had a stellar campaign for Sporting CP this term. In all competitions, he directly contributed in 50 goals in 53 appearances.

The former Sampdoria attacking midfielder, who is valued (Record) at 70 million euros (£62.4million), was also influential for the national side and he was a key member of the squad that won the inaugural UEFA Nations League competition by beating The Netherlands in the final last night.

  1. How I wish this could be the truth. It is for Ed Woodward to redeem himself. Make it count please.
