Manchester United have been linked with Sporting CP star Bruno Fernandes for quite some time and even now, the reports are constantly linking the Portuguese with a move to Old Trafford.
As per the latest update provided by A Bola, it seems that Solskjaer is desperate to lure the Seleccao attacking midfielder.
Yesterday, the Portuguese outlet came up with a headline stating ‘Solskjaer demands Bruno Fernandes’. In the report it is mentioned the Norwegian manager sees the 24-year-old star as the ideal player to start in the No. 10 role next season.
Transfer: Forget £60m man – Man Utd want priority signing of £130m star
Furthermore, it is mentioned that the likes of Man City and Atletico are also looking to capture the attacker and therefore, Solskjaer wants Man Utd officials to secure his signing as soon as possible (A Bola).
Recently, Record has reported that Sporting CP want at least 70 million euros (£61million) for their superstar captain.
Opinion:
In the recently concluded campaign, Solskjaer utilized the likes of Pogba, Lingard and Mata in the No. 10 role.
Mata is going to be out of contract next month and in my view, the Spaniard’s deal should not be renewed and he must be replaced in the summer transfer window.
Lingard is naturally a winger and he should only be deployed at the flanks. On the other hand, Pogba is naturally a creative central midfielder and over the years, he has excelled in the center of the park.
Therefore, it is quite evident that we need a quality player for the position behind the main center forward and Fernandes would be a top signing.
The former Udinese AM has so far featured in 32 league outings this season and netted 20 goals (13 assists), one fewer than the Primeira Liga’s leading scorer, Haris Seferovic.
Lingard isn’t a winger he’s a attacking midfielder he’s been playing as a winger hence failing for England he plays as a advanced midfielder and plays well
Lingard is a winger but he is an average footballer and has this childish playing style. We need a good winger and let him always come as a substitute
If we ever planned on achieving anything as a football club we need consistent and focused minded players, am sorry J. Lingard is never that guy, he is way below average.
