Solskjaer plots raid to sign £50million playmaker for Man United – Report

Pochettino Solskjaer

Tottenham and Manchester United have started the season poorly as after 6 fixtures, Spurs find themselves seventh in the table and the Red Devils are eighth with just 8 points.

Both clubs splashed a lot of cash to strengthen their respective teams in the summer transfer window but the results have not improved and they might need to spend further to adequately reinforce the squad in the winter transfer window.

Transfer: Man Utd told £90million would get attacker signing done – Face competition

If reports (The Daily Star) in the media are anything to go by then Solskjaer is plotting a double raid to sign Lucas Moura and Eric Dier from the north Londoners. Our focus is on the Brazilian playmaker.

Moura had an impressive campaign with Tottenham last term under the management of Mauricio Pochettino. Overall, he netted 15 goals in all competitions (including two hat-tricks)

The 27-year-old Samba star even extended his contract with the club last month but now, he finds himself in a complex situation.

So far, the former PSG man has only started two Premier League games in the current campaign, scored a goal and provided an assist. In the last three PL fixtures, he has only featured for a total of 9 minutes.

As per The Daily Star, if the situation does not change then the £50million-rated attacker will be keen to leave the club in the winter transfer window and Solskjaer, who is a huge fan of Moura, sees him as the best solution to improve United’s offense.

The South American can effectively play on either flank, through the middle and also as the main center forward up front and United need a versatile playmaker like him after getting rid of (forward) Lukaku and (winger) Sanchez in the summer.

In your opinion, should Solskjaer splash the cash to lure Moura?

  1. We need moura because he is a good player that can bring a fight back spirit even losing and also he is a super sub and he can as a forward winger and as an attacking midfielder.
