James Pogba and Maguire

Manchester United failed to beat Tottenham last week and now they are five points behind Chelsea, who occupy the final Champions League qualification place in the table.

Next up, the Red Devils will face Sheffield United, who are just two points behind and are pressing for European qualification for next season.

As far as the team news is concerned, we can expect Solskjaer to make just one change in the team that started vs Spurs on Friday.

Star midfielder Paul Pogba was introduced in the second half vs the north Londoners and had a brilliant outing. The French international’s passes were pin point and he won the all important penalty that earned United a point vs Mourinho’s men.

Former striker Alan Shearer heavily praised the Les Bleus star and stated (The Sun):

“When he (Pogba) came on, he was excellent, he looked up for the fight, and they (Pogba and Fernandes) looked a dangerous partnership.”

The 27-year-old midfielder should replace Brazilian international Fred in the center of the park to make his first league start since September last year.

In the goal, United fans would wish they had Dean Henderson but unfortunately, they may have to see De Gea again. The Spaniard has to step up big time after his blunder against Tottenham.

Henderson has been top class for Sheffield this term and the good thing for the Red Devils is that their loan starlet will not be able to feature against them. Here is Man Utd’s strongest possible 4-2-3-1 XI vs Sheffield:
