As far as the team news is concerned, Erik ten Hag has confirmed that stars like Harry Maguire, Casemiro and Shaw have returned to full fitness and are available against Newport.

In the absence of first choice shot stopper, Andre Onana, Turkish goalie, Altay Bayindir, would likely get the nod to start in the goal.

At the back Shaw and Dalot should feature in the fullback positions, on the other hand, Maguire could partner Lisandro Martinez in the central defense.

In the center of the park, Brazil captain, Casemiro, would return and partner 18-year-old midfielder, Kobbie Mainoo.

Marcus Rashford is ill and his place could be taken by Antony, who should start with Fernandes and Garnacho in the attacking midfield.

Danish forward, Rasmus Hojlund, would feature as an out and out striker.

  1. So good to have all of our players especially Luke Shaw and Martinez. Bruno and Luke Shaw are class players by their neat style of playing. I was waiting for Antony to score a goal and he did bit he was a whole lot good on the pitch today. Garnacho was today a bit nervous scrambling with the ball with a few mistakes of losing the ball many times and too many passes by the goal. He was not very confident at the goal. Mainoo and Rasmus the young players were really good and they gave their all by their sharp alertness. Practice makes perfect and do not say we are good enough, keep pushing more stronger.
