Transfer: Man Utd offer £129million to sign La Liga midfielder – Report

The Sky Sports journalist has mentioned that Man Utd are pressing a lot to lure the England international from the Stamford Bridge club.

Reports in Britain (The Telegraph) have already indicated that the ex Derby County loanee has agreed personal terms to move to Old Trafford.

However, Plettenberg claims the 24-year-old will decide between Liverpool and the Red Devils and could cost around £39m-£43m (45-50 million euros).

The above mentioned fee seems fair for someone who will be out of contract next year but should actually be considered a bargain keeping in view that he is a Champions League winning star.

Mount can play in multiple midfield and offensive positions and we have already looked at how he would line up under Ten Hag if the deal is sealed.

Liverpool have been linked with the Chelsea playmaker but their main focus lately has been to secure the signing of Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton (The Mirror).

So, Man Utd should act as far as possible to sign Mason Mount before the Reds threaten to hijack the deal.
