If reports in the media are anything to go by then Erik ten Hag is prepared to agree the signing of Benjamin Pavard to replace Harry Maguire.

As per L’Equipe, the Red Devils have not moved in with an official offer thus far to lure the French international from Bayern Munich.

However, the famous French news source have mentioned that Ten Hag has made it clear he wants to secure the World Cup winning star (2018).

It is reported the Old Trafford club must now send an initial proposal in the next few days and a fee of 30 million euros should get the signing done.

In Germany, last month, Bild revealed that a fee of 32 million euros (£27m) would be needed to reach an agreement with Bayern for the transfer of Pavard.

Earlier this month, The Faithful covered a detailed opinion based story on why Man Utd must splash the cash to hire the services of the 27-year-old defender.

Pavard can effectively play in the central defense as well as in the right back position.

The man who scored the goal of the Tournament at the FIFA World Cup in Russia is a decorated star, who has won every major prize with the Bavarians and it is time for a new challenge.

So, the deal is a no brainer and in all fairness, the asking price of 30-32 million euros should be considered a bargain for the proven quality £116,000 a week player. What do you think?
