At the weekend, we covered a story via Sport stating that Erik ten Hag dreams of signing £86million-rated midfielder, Frenkie de Jong, for Man Utd.
However, the latest turn of events indicate that the Dutch manager might not be at Old Trafford next season and could join Bayern Munich.

Catalan sources, Sport and Mundo Deportivo, have cited a story from Bild stating that Ten Hag would be ready to sign De Jong from Barca for Bayern Munich.
The former Ajax manager pushed hard to lure his compatriot to Old Trafford but failed.
Now his potential arrival on the Bavarian bench would open the door for the midfielder to reunite with him.
Barca cannot afford to pay the high wages of the 26-year-old midfielder and want him to either pen a new deal on a lower salary or leave the club this summer.
De Jong played under the leadership of Matthijs de Ligt at Ajax and the midfielder could reunite with the central defender if he moves to the Allianz Arena.
Man Utd have been poor on all fronts in the current campaign and even winning the FA Cup might not save the manager from sacking.
Sport state Bayern want to take advantage of Ten Hag’s situation at Man Utd to hire him and he would then help them sign De Jong.
Without Champions League football, it would be hard for United to attract a player of Frenkie’s caliber and fans may have to forget about him.
