The news source have mentioned the Blues want a bigger fee for their prized asset but they have to balance the books by the end of this month and that could help the Red Devils.

Mount reached double figures in terms of both goals scored and assists provided in the 2021-22 campaign but last term, he was out of form and injured.

With that in mind and keeping in view his contract is due to expire next year, Man Utd think £50m should seal the deal.

As per reports going on in the media (Mirror Sport), Chelsea are asking for a mammoth fee worth £80m to sell the versatile playmaker.

The Stamford Bridge outfit are already close to signing a new midfielder in the form of Manuel Ugarte from Sporting CP.

Erik ten Hag needs to adequately strengthen the squad before the start of the pre-season in order to prepare the squad well for the next campaign.

In your view, is Mason Mount good enough to reinforce Man Utd?
