Thus far, Man Utd have agreed deals to sign two midfielders but they have not been able to convince the players as yet.

The news source claim the 20-time English champions agreed a deal with Barcelona for De Jong but the Dutchman is willing to stay at the Nou Camp and wants his deferred wages paid.

However, Ten Hag has not given up and United have been entirely focused on securing the signature of the former Ajax man.

He started on the bench last night and came on in the second half only to play in the central defense for the Catalan side.

MEN claim the PL club have reluctantly looked at other options and even agreed a deal with Juventus to sign Adrien Rabiot.

Once again, the move is not complete as yet because so far, United have not been able to agree a contract with the player and his agent-mother.

The media outlet further state that Man Utd are also lining up an offer to sign Sergej Milinkovic-Savic from Lazio.

The Serbian international directly contributed in 23 goals in all competitions for the Serie A side and as per a recent report covered by Corriere dello Sport, a fee of £54.9million would be needed to get his signing done.

Keeping in view the current state of affairs, Man Utd really cannot afford to wait and must do everything possible to sign a top midfielder before they collide against Liverpool next.
