The transfer saga surrounding Raphael Varane has dragged on for far too long and his future still remains up in the air.
According to a latest update provided by Marca (via Sport Witness), the solution of the French international’s case at Real Madrid is still pending because at the moment, the central defender is on vacation after taking part at the European Championships.
The renowned Spanish media outlet have mentioned that the former Lens star has still not made his decision and the Los Blancos are waiting.
He can spend one more year in Spain and leave on a free transfer and he can also sign the contract extension offered to him by the La Liga giants.
However, it is stated that as of now, it seems highly likely that he will leave the club this summer and the main destination mentioned is Old Trafford.
Marca further claim that Varane has been authorized by Madrid to negotiate with Man Utd and he will be allowed to seal the move if the fee is significant i.e. around £51.5million.
The Red Devils are linked with a number of center backs but the 28-year-old Frenchman is perhaps the most decorated star on their radar. The Word Cup winner has won every major prize with Real Madrid multiple times.
In your view, should Man Utd offer £51.5million (60 million euros) to hire his services?
