Today, Corriere di Bologna (news image provided below) have come up with a headline stating ‘Zirkzee says goodbye to Bologna and goes to Manchester United”.
They have revealed the length of his contract, wages and the payment structure of the transfer fee.
The Italian news source claim Zirkzee has agreed a contract with Manchester United that will make him earn around £2.9million per season (3.5 million euros a year), £14.7million in the next five years.
CorBologna state the Old Trafford outfit have included a clause in the deal that allows them to extend the contract for a further year.
As far as the transfer fee is concerned, it is stated that the 20-time English champions will pay an amount of approx. 45 million euros.
They have not activated the clause of 40 million euros and the agreement of 45 million euros was reached on the basis that the figure will be paid in three installments.
Bologna knew the player will eventually leave and they are satisfied with the timing of his departure as they now have ample time to find a replacement.
Manchester United needed to act fast in the transfer window and they have done well by securing the deal to land Joshua Zirkzee.
