Transfer: Man Utd will submit offer to complete signing of £51million star – Reports
As per Fabrizio Romano, Antony is pressing to agree a move to Old Trafford, he has missed the training for two straight days and wants the Eredivisie champions to negotiate with the Red Devils.
Keeping in view all the speculation over the transfer of the 22-year-old and the fact that he has not trained, Ajax have opted to omit the youngster from the squad against Sparta Rotterdam.
The Dutch side are joint top of the table with PSV and the Samba star has been impressive for them.
In the opening Eredivisie contest against Fortuna Sittard, Antony provided an assist to help his team earn all three points (3-2).
On the other hand, on Match Day 2, the 9-capped international scored a goal and also provided an assist as Ajax defeated FC Groningen 6-1.
So, the decision to oust him from the squad clearly indicates two things, one, he is not ready for the game having missed key training sessions and two, his future at the Johan Cruijff ArenA is uncertain.
