The Bavarians are looking to adequately strengthen their squad this summer after their first trophyless campaign in over a decade.

The German giants have already secured the signings of Michael Olise from Crystal Palace and Joao Palhinha from Fulham.

However, Bayern are close to losing a fans’ favorite in the form of Matthijs de Ligt to Man Utd.

MD claim more than sixty thousand Munich supporters signed an online petition to keep the former Ajax man, who still has three years left on his contract, at the Allianz.

However, it seems the fans will not get their wish as De Ligt is getting closer to Man Utd to reunite with Erik ten Hag.

The Old Trafford outfit are prepared to splash a sum of £43million to hire the services of the 24-year-old in the summer transfer window.

The Oranje star could be the one to replace Raphael Varane for the Red Devils.

On the other hand, to replace De Ligt at Bayern, the Bundesliga side are targeting the signing of Jonathan Tah, who was a key member of the Leverkusen side that won the domestic double last season.
