Transfer News: Besiktas are interested in Man United’s £40 million-rated winger

Besiktas are the latest team that expressed interest in Anthony Martial, and their officials are set to fly in for talks with United about the potential transfer of the French international.

Martial’s future at Old Trafford is far from secure, and Ivan Perisic’s move from Inter to United is almost done, so the 21-year-old winger’s playing time could be additionally reduced. Anthony quickly denied the rumors linking him with the move to Arsenal last month, but now the Turkish champions would like to take him on a season-long loan, which could be beneficial for both parties.

Besiktas will play in the Champions League this season, and they can guarantee the starting spot to Martial, so the former Monaco man could move to Turkey and prove Mourinho he still has future at Old Trafford. Inter Milan was also interested in bringing Martial to San Siro in a deal for Ivan Perisic, but it looks like they will accept £40 million in cash for the Croatian international, which leaves Anthony in an awkward position ahead of the new campaign.

Martial failed to impress Mourinho last year as he appeared in only 25 Premier League Games, recording four goals and six assists. With Perisic’s move edging closer, the Frenchman could struggle to get enough playing time, so the temporary move away from Old Trafford seems like a smart step in his career.
