“Move could happen” – Insider reveals Man Utd update on signing £42million attacker

Manchester United continue to make plans for future transfer windows despite having just signed five players this summer.

The Red Devils did let players leave too and one of them was Jadon Sancho who is now at Chelsea.

News – Man Utd have to agree £68million fee to finally sign “world class” player – Report

The ex-Borussia Dortmund has joined the Blues on a loan deal for the season with an obligation to buy next year. This did leave United with one winger short in the squad as they chose not to sign anyone on deadline day.

Currently, Man Utd have Amad Diallo, Antony, Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho to play on the wing but with the exception of the Ivorian winger, none of the others excel in one-on-one situations.

In the coming transfer windows, the Old Trafford outfit could look to correct this situation by signing an electric wide player.

One star that Man Utd considered a move for before the deadline was £42m Bayern winger Kingsley Coman.

The German giants wanted to sell the 28-year-old Frenchman this summer but a move did not happen.

As per Bundesliga insider Christian Falk, as quoted by the Caught Offside, Kingsley Coman could leave in the next transfer window with clubs including Man Utd still interested. Here is what he had to say:

“There will always be rumours about Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United, so there are clubs interested in Coman if he’s not injured. If he’s playing very well in the lead-up to winter, I think a move could happen, as Bayern wants to sell him.”

The only thing that could stop prospective clubs from seriously pursuing a transfer for the Les Bleus attacker would be his wretched injury history.

Apart from this, there is no reason why the Frenchman cannot be an important player for a top club. It remains to be seen how Coman goes about his career from here on.

The most important thing obviously is remaining fit and should he earn a big money move to a top European club, one can only hope he makes the most of it. If it happens to be United, then so be it but all we can do is wait and watch.
