Club ready to offer £25million star to Manchester United – Report

Adrien Rabiot France

Reports in the media suggest that Manchester United want to get rid of Pogba and the likes of Juventus and Real Madrid are seriously looking to hire his services.

Earlier in the day, we covered a report (via The Sun) claiming that the World Cup winning Les Bleus midfielder could move to the Los Blancos in an exchange deal that would see Toni Kroos sign for Man United.

More recently, the British source have exclusively revealed that The Old Lady are ready to offer £25million-rated Adrien Rabiot plus £60million cash to sign Pogba from the Old Trafford club in the January transfer window.

Transfer: Man Utd could move to sign attacker with £45million clause – Report

Rabiot won every major domestic title in France with Paris Saint-Germain before opting to join the Bianconeri in the summer transfer window on a free transfer.

Perhaps the 24-year-old got the contract that he was looking for but unfortunately, since moving to the Italian champions, he has mainly warmed the bench under the management of Maurizio Sarri.

The former Chelsea manager has got an over-crowded midfield department at his disposal with stars like Khedira, Matuidi, Pjanic, Bentacur, Can, Rabiot and last but not the least, Ramsey, who also joined the Serie A giants on a free transfer in the summer.

In such a scenario, so far, Rabiot has only started 6 games in all competitions this term and now, Juve are prepared to sell him to Man United (The Sun).

The French player is a versatile talent, who can play in multiple midfield positions but it must be remembered that he has not played a lot of football in the past year or so and his discipline is also a major concern.

When Deschamps included the midfielder in the standby list for the World Cup, the Les Bleus star refused to become part of the reserves and withdrew himself from the standby list (BBC). Moreover, last season, he played his last league game for PSG on 5th December 2018 and after that he was suspended by the Ligue 1 giants.

So, it would be better for Manchester United to stay away from Adrien Rabiot and Solskjaer should look to sign a disciplined and quality star to replace Paul Pogba. Someone like Toni Kroos would be a world class addition.

  1. Why is Man.Utd always saying this and that about buying players when by the looks at it is that they had not made any attempt to secure even one signing yet whereas other clubs have already secured one or two signings. The January window is open and can see how badly they are struggling but yet no effort to seal any yet.

  3. Don’t go for Rabiot. He is slow but holds the ball. We already have Fred on that role.

Go for very quick midfielders or players that will quickly or forcefully link up with the front 3. ZIYECH already has 21 assists plus 8 goals. He is slippery, forceful, very agile, WHIPS in good good through balls n scores at will.

Vidal will move the ball from back to front without anyone disturbing him. Vidal takes no nonsense from AVERAGE kids like Madisson whose only popularity is to be surrounded by great stars such as Grey n Ineacho.

Semedo is needed also. Hi for Fernandes later.
