Manchester United have not necessarily been a club known for conducting good business in the transfer market over the past few years.
The Red Devils have often been guilty of overpaying to buy players and eventually moving them on for much below their market value.

As luck would have it, most of these players that Man Utd move on go on to make a career for themselves elsewhere where they look so much better than the version of themselves that played at Old Trafford. It is a curious case that seems to haunt the Manchester-based club.
It is no secret now that the upcoming summer could see a mass exodus of players from the current squad as Ruben Amorim attempts to perform a club clearout and this might see a number of players leave for much less than what they might be valued at ideally.
One such player who could be on the chopping block is talented young Argentinian winger Alejandro Garnacho. As per Il Mattino (via Calcio Napoli 24), Napoli have expressed continued interest in signing the youngster, who now can be lured for £39million (45 million euros).
Antonio Conte’s side wanted to sign Garnacho back during the January transfer window and were in talks over a potential transfer. At that point, Man Utd were holding out for a £70million fee but since then, things seem to have changed at the English club.
Touted to he the next big thing when he was breaking through at Old Trafford, Garnacho undoubtedly has a lot of talent but consistency is one area that he severely lacks in. Thus, it comes as no surprise that Amorim would consider an exit for him.
The Portuguese tactician hasn’t really fancied the Argentinian thus far like he trusted Amad Diallo for example but injuries and a generally thin forward line has meant that Amorim has had to rely a lot on Garnacho in recent weeks.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for Garnacho and if Man Utd will accept a fee for him in the summer. He has a few months left to change their minds and let’s wait and see how it plays out.
