Man United can now reach price agreement for £27million to sign midfielder

Thiago Spanish midfielder

Earlier this month, we covered a report (via Sport) talking about Man United’s interest in signing Thiago Alcantara and at that time, Bayern were demanding a fee of 35 million euros.

As per the latest reports going on in the media, the Bavarians have now lowered the asking price. So, Man United can reach an agreement for a reduced fee.

Transfer: Man United backed to secure signing of ‘best’ £200,000-a-week forward

According to Sport Bild, the German giants have decided to offload the Spanish international and will allow him to leave if they receive an offer of 30 million euros (£27million).

The renowned outlet have reported that the Bundesliga champions want to raise funds from players sales in order to sign new players as coach Hansi Flick looks to strengthen his squad for next season.

In such a scenario, the names of Thiago Alcantara, Corentin Tolisso and David Alaba are in the lime light.

The former Barcelona midfielder’s current contract with Bayern Munich will expire next year and he will turn 30 next year as well, therefore, the Allianz outfit cannot really ask for a big transfer fee.

Man United have not reinforced their midfield department for two years and therefore, a quality star should be hired this summer.

We have been heavily linked with Jack Grealish but as per an exclusive report recently covered by The Metro, Aston Villa are demanding a huge price of £75million and the Red Devils have decided to stop chasing the 24-year-old.

Thiago is an experienced star, who has won major prizes in both Spain and in Germany. In your opinion, should Man United splash £27million to get his signing done?

  1. Honestly No we shouldn’t buy Thiago, I could say he had his chance when leaving Barcelona but more importantly, there are younger players priced a little bit dearer but who will offer a, years of more service and b, if required a sell on value. You only have to look at Mata and Matic at times to see how being over 30 effects you in the modern game. Plus if he was all that why isn’t he one of the stars Bayern want to keep?

  2. I think Manchester United should not waste any time to get the deal done he is a good player for that low price he will help in the midfield alot

  3. no need at all, we need younger player who’s got enough energy to burn, although will be good for backup to warm our benches, and provide experience and assistance for our youthful players, he rejected us when we needed him most, so he doesn’t have united at heart, it will be a waste of resources.
