Manchester United are once again linked with English attacker Jack Grealish, whose future has been up in the air for quite some time.
According to an exclusive story recently covered by The Sun, Man Utd are leading the race to secure the signing of the Aston Villa skipper, who is valued at around £70million.
Transfer: Man United burst onto scene to finally sign £38.5million star – Face competition
The British source have revealed that the playmaker, who is admired by Solskjaer, could even be available for a cut price of £50million if the Villa Park outfit do end up relegated from the Premier League.
Before the suspension of the season, Dean Smith’s men were 19th in the table with 25 points and a game in hand. So, it will not be shocking if the Biringham based club goes down to the Championship again.
Hands down, Jack Grealish has been the team’s best player in the current campaign. With 9 goals, he is the leading goalscorer for Villa and in second place is Hourihane, who found the net 7 times in all competitions.
As far as the assists are concerned, the 24-year-old attacker has created 8 goals for his teammates and behind him is El Ghazi, who has provided 7 assists this season.
The former Championship star is mainly a CAM, who has mostly played on the left flank this term and he can even play effectively in the creative central midfield role.
At United, Solskjaer has already got players like Juan Mata and Fernandes, who can be deployed in the No. 10 role behind the main center forward. On the other hand, our first choice left winger is our best player, Marcus Rashford.
So, it will not come as any surprise to see Grealish play in the center of the park if he does end up moving to Old Trafford. I’d like to see him partner McTominay in the midfield.
