Transfer: Man Utd close to agreeing £163,000-a-week terms for signing – Doubts swept away by Ten Hag

The Spanish media outlet have claimed that Man Utd are ready to pay more than 80 million euros (£68million) fee to hire the services of the former Ajax player.

Barcelona have told the 25-year-old that he needs to return to his previous contract and take a 50-percent pay cut to stay at the Nou Camp.

If he disagrees, then the Catalan side will do everything possible to offload him to United or Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

The two Premier League clubs “respect” the current contract that the midfielder has with the Blaugrana and are prepared to offer huge wages to ensure that he does not lose money.

For now, the pressure on De jong is at its peak, he is in anger but still wants to stay with Barcelona. The Dutchman needs to make a decision soon.
