More recently, as per Italian journalist, Tancredi Palmeri, United have agreed personal terms to sign the 33-year-old star and are talking to agree a fee with Bologna.
Now, Rome-based news source, Corriere dello Sport (press image provided below,) have revealed that Man Utd are ready to raise the bid to finally seal the signing of Arnautovic.
The Rossoblu do not want to lose their prized asset and yesterday, in the Coppa Italia contest against Cosenza, the crowd chanted the player’s name to convince him to stay.
However, it is reported that Man Utd are intent and they will come up with a new bid to get the deal over the line.
CdS claim the 20-time English champions seem willing to add a couple million more and offer 11 million euros to secure the former West Ham star. The interest of Man United is “effective, concrete and goes beyond words”.
Arnautovic’s representative has confirmed the contract offer but Bologna are still resisting and hoping that somehow they can hold on to the veteran striker.
