Man Utd willing to agree £35million fee to secure signing – Report

Gabri Veiga Celta Vigo

Earlier this month, we covered a story via Mirror Sport stating that Manchester United are one of the favorites to hire the services of Gabriel Veiga from Celta Vigo.

As per the latest update provided by AS, Man Utd are one of the clubs willing to agree the £35million fee required to sign the Spaniard.

Transfer: Gazzetta – Man Utd have to agree £88million+ fee to seal signing

The 20-year-old starlet has been a revelation in the La Liga this season.

In eighteen league starts thus far, the youngster has found the net nine times and also provided three assists.

Veiga is a flexible playmaker who can be deployed in multiple midfield and offensive positions.

President of Celta Vigo, Manuel Carlos Mourino, has admitted that it will be hard to hold on to the club’s prized asset in the next transfer window.

However, he has made it clear Veiga will only be allowed to leave if the £35million release clause in his current contract is activated.

AS claim apart from Man Utd, even the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, Newcastle and AC Milan are willing to activate the clause to lure the versatile player.

The Red Devils need to reinforce their central midfield and the wide attacking positions in the next transfer window and Veiga has proved to be effective in the mentioned roles.

Have your say – Should Man Utd agree the £35million fee and secure his signing to strengthen the squad for the next campaign?
