The Bruno Fernandes transfer saga has taken so many twists but Manchester United have been constantly linked.
Three days back, we covered a report (via Record) and claimed that the Red Devils are preparing a proposal to sign the Sporting CP attacking midfielder.
Now, reports suggest that Man Utd have made an offer to hire the services of the Portuguese international.
Transfer: Terms agreed: Man Utd make move for £80million versatile player – Face competition
According to Correio da Manha, the Old Trafford club and Spurs have made a proposal to sign the 24-year-old star, however, the figures offered by the two clubs are below 70 million euros (£62million), which is the asking price Sporting CP are demanding. It is stated that the player is attracted by United’s history.
On the other hand, A Bola have not reported that an offer has been made but they claim that it could soon arrive. They state that United have always been in pole position and the proposal the PL giants might put forward could be around 55 million euros.
The above mentioned Portuguese outlets have reported that Tottenham are interested in the player. However, the story in the United Kingdom is completely different.
On June 14th, The Mail revealed that the north Londoners have ruled out a move for the Seleccao attacker and Man City have already distanced themselves from the player.
In addition, yesterday, Sky Sports News reported that Spurs have cooled their interest after meeting with the player’s agent because they do not want to be involved in a bidding war.
On almost daily basis, there are reports circulating in the media – especially in Portugal – regarding the future of Bruno Fernandes. In case you do not want to miss out on the latest updates, watch this space.
