The Red Devils have moved in to know the intentions of the player and surprisingly, he is open to leaving Napoli.

Di Lorenzo was a key member of the Naples club side that lifted the Scudetto in the last campaign and last summer, he opted to agree a new deal until 2028.

However, despite fresh renewal, the 30-year-old, who earns around £93,000 a week, is willing to ‘listen to the proposals and evaluate them’.

The Azzurri star is not only a solid defender but has also proved to be efficient in the offensive third. Last season, he scored 5 goals and provided 6 assists in all competitions.

In the current campaign, so far, he has directly contributed in 9 goals for Napoli.

Di Lorenzo has earned 34 caps for Italy and he was an important part of the squad that won the European Championships in 2021.

The veteran has the quality and the experience to improve the RB position at Man Utd but he will turn 31 this year. Ideally, the 20-time English champions should look for a young player, someone like Jeremie Frimpong, who can serve the club in the long term.

In your opinion, should Man Utd sign Giovanni Di Lorenzo?
